I won a property that is somewhat out of town, and water can sometimes be a problem for us. I have a rain tank, but had recently heard about rain harvesting around the house and garden as well, so I thought I might look into rain barrels for sale which I could put around the house and garden without attracting too much attention or making my garden seem like the home of a whole lot of plastic buckets!
I know that rain water barrels are a great idea, but I never knew how many different designs were out there! I needn’t have worried about the plastic look, because rain barrels have gone way beyond that! I ended up finding a great website which had tons of different designs, some that looked like flower stands, others that looked like old wooden barrels and others which just tucked into the wall, so I got an oak barrel one and a flower pot kind of one for the garden and hooked it all up to my tank so that now when it rains every bit of water I can harvest is stored away for a drier day.
